Introduction
OptiGrate, with 25 years of experience in the manufacturing of Volume Bragg Gratings, became a part of IPG Photonics family in 2017. OptiGrate’s VBG technologies were originally developed at the College of Optics (CREOL) of the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, Florida. In 2023, OptiGrate expanded to a brand new, state of the art 50,000 sq. ft. facility, with projections to grow and scale up the production.

OptiGrate's full range of products include transmitting (TBG), reflecting (RBG) and chirped (CBG) volume Bragg gratings. OptiGrate’s vertical integration of VBG manufacturing and our unique ability to optimize and develop photo-thermo-refractive (PTR) glass and VBG characteristics, have allowed us to become a reliable supplier of VBG components for many industrial manufacturers and government contractors around the globe.
